SSH | Rule 8: Match Your Hair to Your Suit (and Keep It Neat!)

Let’s talk about something that’s near and dear to many of us – our hair. Your hair is a crucial part of your identity. Like a clothes, it's a way to express who you are without saying a word. But let’s face it, no matter how perfectly a suit or a hairstyle matches your personality, if it's not kept neat, it can have the opposite effect!

Take me, for example. This past Wednesday, I found myself in a bit of a rut. It had been three weeks since my last haircut, and boy, did I look it. My hair was all over the place, I had what I call "Durant's" (shoutout to KD). I felt what I can only describe as "depressed." I mean, looking in the mirror was almost like watching a slow-motion train wreck. I looked like "the struggle". (I could make jokes about how bad I looked all day). I still dressed great, but I was missing a piece.

I marched down to my barber, sat in that sacred chair, and let the magic happen. A fresh, clean cut that brought me back to life. It was like night and day. My confidence skyrocketed, and I felt like I could conquer the world. Walking out of that barbershop, I turned countless heads. Suddenly, I wasn't just a guy with a bad hair month; I was the guy with a immaculate cut, and one hell of a suit.

And the best part? Even the lady I am dating was in awe of my new appearance. She actually stopped in her tracks and stared at me. Right before pulling out my phone to take pictures with and of me. Yes, you read that right, because CONTENT- (those who know, know). Who knew a haircut could make you Instagram-worthy?

The Rule

picking a hairstyle that matches your personality is a game-changer. It’s like wearing your favorite outfit every day – it just feels right. But just like that outfit needs to be clean and ironed, your hair needs regular upkeep. Here are some tips on how to choose and maintain that perfect hairstyle:

  1. Know Your Style: Are you the laid-back, "grow as it grows" type, or the sleek, sophisticated look kind of person? Pick a style that says “this is me!” but also one you can manage; I know plenty of black woman who chose to go natural and it went down hill fast.

  2. Regular Trims: No matter the style, regular trims are essential. Hair grows, and styles change with it. Keeping it neat means you’re always looking your best. This is the most difficult part for me with hair cuts jumping up to $50-100 per cut but every 14 days is a solid goal.

  3. Quality Products: Invest in good hair products. They can make all the difference in maintaining your style and keeping your hair healthy. As I mentioned before, we love natural hair but it can get pricey, look to find the best product at a affordable price.

  4. Consult a Professional: Don’t be afraid to ask your barber or stylist for advice. They know what’s in trend and what works best with your hair type.

  5. Confidence Boost: Remember, a fresh cut isn’t just about looks. It’s a confidence booster. When you feel good about your hair, it shows in everything you do.

Pairing that perfect hairstyle with a custom SilverSpoon Suit takes your style game to a whole new level. Imagine stepping out not just with a fresh cut, but also in a suit that’s tailored to fit you like a glove. The combination is unbeatable – it’s the ultimate confidence booster. With a SilverSpoon Suit, you’re not just wearing clothes; you’re making a statement. It says you care about the details, you value quality, and you know exactly who you are. It’s about elevating your entire presence. When you walk into a room, people take notice. Your haircut and suit together create a powerful synergy that showcases your best self. If you made it this far, book your appointment now, and remember "It's A Privilege".
